The Cleveland Browns have much to sort out, and their priority revolves around their perennial All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett.
Garrett expressed his unhappiness with the state of the 2024 season in Cleveland and cast some doubt on his future with the team that drafted him with the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Given those comments, the media was quick to get his thoughts on his future, but Garrett was slow to give a plan.
After the game, Garrett was asked about a potential extension with the Browns this offseason. He remained coy in his response as he had much to mull over, stating, “There will be something coming.”
In a quote in a recent ESPN article, Garrett remained positive about the leadership in place with head coach Kevin Stefanski and general manager Andrew Berry. Here is what Garrett had to say about the leadership in place:
“We got those guys right there leading the charge organizationally… Them being here, wanting to pick up the right pieces and play will give me confidence. As long as that’s how it’s looking, how it is, I want to be here, and I’ll be happy to play for Cleveland.”
Garrett also said he has yet to have those conversations with the Browns, but those will likely happen soon. While Garrett is disgruntled about the lack of success in Cleveland, nothing is definitive at this point.
