After the Cleveland Browns traded one former cornerstone piece in wide receiver Amari Cooper, another one in Myles Garrett is getting questions about what his long-term intentions are.
In his eighth season in the NFL, Garrett has experienced just two winning seasons with the Browns. It is understandable that Garrett may start to consider his future options as he remains in the prime of his career and off of his first NFL Defensive Player of the Year award.
However, Garrett shut down any talk of wanting out of Cleveland:
“I want to play here, to end my career, to win here, to bring a championship here. So that does not cross my mind. I’m always focused on how we can improve, on how we can turn things around. In my mind I don’t ever think of doing anything else. We have to finish what we started. That’s the main thing to me.”

Garrett has been heavily invested in the Cleveland community. From commissioning a mural downtown to being a minority owner in the Cleveland Cavaliers, Garrett is bought in.
That’s refreshing to see as there could be a good deal of change sweeping through Berea this season.
