Don’t tell Myles Garrett that COVID-19 isn’t real. The Browns defensive end missed two weeks after testing positive for the coronavirus and he’s thankful it isn’t more.
Garrett developed several symptoms of COVID-19 and they hit the freakish physical specimen hard. He talked about the battle in his press conference this week.
“My parents had it, kicked their butt. I had it, kicked my butt,” he said. “I was in pain. It wasn’t great.”
Garrett talked about the loss of smell, a constant headache and body aches, loss of energy and a constant bout with a runny nose and sneezing.
He’s fine now and ready to get back on the field with his teammates. The Browns coaching staff will be mindful of his conditioning level, but there were not any lasting effects of the infection found in Garrett’s thorough medical examinations.
He was activated this week and will play in the showdown in Tennessee.
