Must See: Chase Young clears 54-inch box jump during pre-draft workout

A video on social media shows Young clearing a 54-inch box-jump in pre-draft workouts, which somebody his size shouldn’t be able to do.

We all know that Ohio State defensive end Chase Young is an athletic freak, but sometimes he does things that really show you exactly the type of athletic specimen he is. Maybe it’s his ability to throw offensive lineman around on his way to the quarterback, or maybe it’s his 16.5 sacks in 14 games in his senior season. Maybe it’s his ability to clear a reported 54″ box jump in pre-draft workouts.

You read that right — a new video has been posted to social media showing Young running and jumping on top of a 54″ box during an apparent training session ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft. For any human, this is an incredibly impressive feat; for Young, who is measured at 6-foot-5, and over 260-pounds, it’s almost unheard of.

Thursday can’t come quick enough.
