Multiple Sixers discuss their offensive struggles in Game 1 loss to Heat

The Philadelphia 76ers discuss their offensive struggles in a tough Game 1 loss to the Miami Heat on the road.

MIAMI — The Philadelphia 76ers had a pretty miserable night in South Florida on Monday as they fell to the Miami Heat 106-92 in Game 1 of their semifinal series. The Sixers had to do battle without Joel Embiid and without the big fella, Philadelphia couldn’t make anything work on that end.

The Sixers shot a putrid 6-for-34 from deep and they committed 15 turnovers on the night as well. Danny Green was 1-for-5 from deep, Tyrese Maxey was 1-for-6, and Georges Niang was 0-for-7. That is not going to cut it in a playoff game and it also didn’t help that they got absolutely nothing out of their centers in this matchup.

The Sixers held Miami to 43.5% from the floor and 9-for-36 from deep, but the turnovers and the offensive rebounds the Heat collected changed things. On top of that, the offensive struggles were just too much to overcome.
