The intel coming into and out of this weekend appears to be on a great track for the Iowa Hawkeyes as it pertains to three-star athlete KJ Parker.
A 5-foot-11, 175 pound athlete out of Immaculate Conception Catholic Prep in Elmhurst, Ill., Parker is one of the top talents on the board for the Hawkeyes. He made the trip to Iowa City this weekend for an official visit.
Just before he arrived, Go Iowa Awesome‘s Eliot Clough issued a Rivals FutureCast forecasting Parker to Iowa on June 22. Now, Hawkeye Insider‘s Sean Bock and national recruiting analyst Allen Trieu have issued 247Sports crystal ball predictions projecting Parker to Iowa today.
Parker reeled in 37 catches for 1,082 yards and had an incredible 17 touchdown grabs last season with Immaculate Conception.
247Sports, On3 and Rivals all rate Parker as a three-star recruit. Per Rivals, Parker is the nation’s No. 64 athlete and the No. 14 player from Illinois. Meanwhile, On3 regards Parker as the No. 79 athlete and the No. 29 player from Illinois in the 2024 class. Lastly, 247Sports ranks Parker as the No. 101 athlete and the No. 20 player from Illinois.
The perceived top competition for Iowa in Parker’s recruitment is Cincinnati. Iowa was Parker’s first Division I offer all the way back on Dec. 17, 2021. He also has offers from Iowa State, Wisconsin, Marshall, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Old Dominion, Toledo, and Western Michigan.
Iowa is also recruiting a pair of his teammates. The Hawkeyes just extended a preferred walk-on opportunity to Immaculate Conception quarterback Dennis Mandala. Iowa also offered class of 2025 Immaculate Conception linebacker Dominik Hulak on April 22.
