Michigan State basketball opens up Big Ten play on Wednesday night in a sneaky tough road game at Minnesota.
The Spartans come into this matchup against the Golden Gophers with some momentum. Michigan State picked up a pair of wins in the three-game Maui Invitational, which included a third-place matchup victory over North Carolina. Michigan State is 6-2 overall on the year.
Minnesota is 6-3 overall after a shakey start to the year. The Golden Gophers have yet to pick up a marquee win, and have dropped one game against a mid-major foe (North Texas) and narrowly gotten by a number of other mid-major opponents.
Michigan State is listed as a 5.5-point favorite in this game.
Graham Couch of the Lansing State Journal is back again to offer his thoughts on this matchup between Michigan State and Minnesota. Click here to see how Couch believes this game will play out and who he has winning in the end.
