Michigan State hockey remains in the top five nationally in the updated USCHO rankings.
The Spartans held the same spot as they did in the preseason, coming in at No. 4 in the updated rankings for this week. Four other Big Ten teams were included in this week’s poll: Minnesota at No. 4, Wisconsin at No. 9, Michigan at No. 10 and Notre Dame at No. 20.
Michigan State opened the season with a road two-game sweep of Lake Superior State this past weekend. The Spartans are 2-0-0 on the year following the opening series sweep.
Next up for the Spartans this week is a massive two-game series against No. 2 Boston College. Both games will be played at Michigan State, with the first game taking place on Friday and the second on Saturday. Both games will start at 6 p.m. ET.
