Michigan State hockey played their first weekend series as the No. 1 team in the nation, hosting the Lindenwood Lions inside of Munn Ice Arena.
After a 4-0 shutout victory on Friday night, the Spartans followed it up with their second straight shutout victory on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Lions, 2-0.
In game two, it was backup goaltender Luca Di Pasquo who had a 14-save shutout in the win. His efforts were aided by Gavin O’Connell and Michael DeAngelo, who both scored goals in the contest.
MSU will be on the road in Madison next weekend to continue Big Ten play when they face off against the Wisconsin Badgers.
