Michigan State men’s golfer James Piot will play for the U.S. Amateur Championship on Sunday.
Piot advanced in the semifinals on Saturday, and will battle North Carolina’s Austin Greaser in 36-hole final round on Sunday. The match begins Sunday morning, with the second half televised by Golf Channel and NBC.
For reaching the U.S. Amateur Championship final, Piot has qualified for the 2022 U.S. Open and most likely the 2022 Masters. Should be beat Greaser on Sunday, he would also qualify for the 2022 British Open.
