Michigan State football didn’t receive a single vote in this week’s updated USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
The Spartans dropped their third straight game this weekend, losing at Maryland, 27-13. With the loss, Michigan State fell to 2-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
There are only three teams ranked from the Big Ten in this week’s poll — Ohio State (No. 3), Michigan (No. 4) and Penn State (No. 10).
The Spartans were ranked within the top 10 of the coaches’ poll just three weeks ago. The recent rough stretch has resulted in them plummeting in this poll.
