Michigan State continues to be heavily recruiting, despite the limitations COVID-19 has put on everything. They already offered a 2023 defensive tackle today, but the process never stops. This time they offered 2022 3-Star defensive end Chase Carter of Minnehaha Academy in Minnesota.
Chase Carter, a 6’6 220 pound strong-side defensive end, is ranked by 247sports as the No. 3 ranked player in the state of Minnesota and No. 29 ranked strong-side defensive end in the class of 2022.
Carter, whose nickname is Simba, has only received an offer from Nebraska and Iowa State so far, but expect his recruitment to pick up as we go back to normalcy.
Something of note, Carter attends the same school that freshman WR Terry Lockett went to. Carter has referred to Lockett as a big brother to him.
After a Great conversation with @CoachRonBurton I’m blessed to announce that I have received an offer to play football at Michigan State University💚#SpartanDawg @lockett3_t @AllenTrieu @SMB_WOLFPACK_FB @CoachQ_MN pic.twitter.com/imuJjggwOs
