Once again, Michigan State basketball has moved up in the updated USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.
The latest poll was released on Monday, and the Spartans moved up one more spot to No. 14. Michigan State is now the highest-ranked team from the Big Ten in the poll, with Illinois right behind at No. 15.
Michigan State is 12-2 overall on the year and has won seven straight games. The Spartans host Washington on Thursday from the Breslin Center as their next game on the schedule.
Six teams from the Big Ten were included in this week’s poll. After Michigan State and Illinois was Oregon at No. 17, Purdue at No. 19, UCLA at No. 21 and Michigan at No. 24.
