Mother nature ruining Diamond Hogs, LSU as teams set to play doubleheader Saturday

National audiences should be watching No. 3 Arkansas and No. 1 LSU this weekend. Nope. Mother Nature.

The weather is unfair. Or it hates baseball.

Why else would it play such havoc with the SEC schedule on the weekend the nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 teams were to play three games in three days with plenty of opportunity to watch?

Instead, after Friday’s noon start – moved up from primetime – third-ranked Arkansas and top-ranked LSU will play a doubleheader on Saturday.

Friday’s move-up changed the game from a start on ESPN2 to a stream-only option while most people were still at work. The game would still show up on SEC Network, but a half-hour later than its first pitch. That’s because Kentucky’s Pro Day – for football – took precedence.

Saturday’s doubleheader will be at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., give or take. Only the first will be on SEC Network. The second will air exclusively on SEC Network+.

In other words, boo Mother Nature.
