NFL picks experts aren’t a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, even against a three-win Miami Dolphins team.
Those experts have sided with the Dolphins 83 percent of the time leading up to Sunday’s game, based on the numbers tracked at NFL Pick Watch.
The Bengals probably won’t complain.
Failing to pick up win No. 2 on the season might hurt. But it would also mean wrapping up the top pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
For now, Sunday’s game feels more like a showcase for players in need of big performances to be part of the team’s future. Think guys like Billy Price and Andy Dalton, for starters.
Even then, it’s a little weird to see so many experts go against the Bengals. The Dolphins have Ryan Fitzpatrick under center and permit more than 30 points per game.
These Bengals have won just a single game all season though and the crossed-fingers hope for an A.J. Green return is over, meaning an offense that has scored more than 19 points in a game once over six games since the Week 9 bye could continue to seem lost.
Winning over the long-term via losing isn’t the most enjoyable thing, but it’s understandable if Bengals fans aren’t too upset with the experts over this one.
