More numbers showcasing just how back Joe Burrow really is

These Joe Burrow numbers now that he’s healthy are wild.

Over his last two games, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has thrown for 631 yards with five touchdowns and no interceptions, keying wins over the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills.

Exploding out of the bye like this has made it pretty clear that Burrow is all the way back from the calf injury that derailed the start of his season, which played arguably the biggest part in the 1-3 start for the team.

But it goes beyond simple numbers, too.

As Pro Football Focus pointed out on Twitter, Burrow’s combined 92.6 PFF grade over those two outings is tops amongst all offensive players in the NFL:

And Mina Kimes provided another advanced metric that goes from the negatives to overwhelming positives:

Now that Burrow is back to torching defenses under pressure and countering what defenses do otherwise, it will be interesting to see how future opponents mix things up.

But given the trends so far in his career, Burrow figures to be able to keep pace just fine. Maybe not this great at all times, but it’s clear he’s no longer greatly limited by injury.
