More Miami Dolphins player grades for Madden 21 revealed

The Miami Dolphins’ roster is markedly improved from just one year ago. Nearly $100M in salary cap space and three first round picks will see to that any and every time. But for a sub-division of Miami Dolphins fans, the team’s improvement is indicated by how competitive the team can be in a game of Madden — the NFL’s officially licensed annual video game courtesy of EA Sports. Last week, we found out that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa received the second highest rookie quarterback grade from the game over the last two seasons.

And this past weekend, the Miami Dolphins’ top-10 overall players had their grades revealed — and this team is confirmed to be a more fun play than it was last summer for Dolphins fans. Here are the top-10 overall graded players on the Miami Dolphins’ roster according to the initial release of Madden 21:

  • CB Byron Jones – 88 overall
  • LB Kyle Van Noy – 86 overall
  • WR Devante Parker – 84 overall
  • CB Xavien Howard – 82 overall
  • RB Jordan Howard – 79 overall
  • TE Mike Gesicki – 79 overall
  • RB Matt Brieda – 79 overall
  • LB Raekwon McMillan – 76 overall
  • IDL Davon Godchaux – 76 overall
  • WR Albert Wilson – 76 overall

Offensively, the Dolphins are probably still a year away from making a lot of noise in the game. But the team’s cornerback duo of Byron Jones and Xavien Howard should certainly be able to provide some resistance against the top-rated passing offenses in the game. Perhaps what’s most telling about the Dolphins’ rebuild as it relates to Madden this year? They’re getting their respect largely thanks to their rebuilding efforts — Miami’s top two players and four of the top seven are talents that weren’t on the team at the end of the 2019 season.
