The Cleveland Browns have been eliminated from postseason contention after a loss to the New Orleans Saints on Christmas Eve. However, one of the weirder storylines of the game revolved around Pro Bowl defensive end Myles Garrett as he missed the opening defensive series of the game for the Browns.
When head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked about it, he stated it was a team issue and his decision to sit Garrett. According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland dot com, however, Garrett was disciplined for lack of communication last week after missing two practices with a cold. In all reality, Garrett was sick and did not call off from work. That would earn anyone a write-up at their job, so not getting the registered start seems like a punishment that fit the crime.
