On Wednesday, the Memphis Grizzlies were among the eight teams to travel to the NBA season restart at the Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.

Six teams departed for Central Florida on Tuesday as the Magic were the first team to arrive after a short bus ride from the Amway Center some 25 minutes east. Upon arrival, players must immediately self isolate and submit two negative coronavirus tests at least 24 hours apart before they can begin practicing.

Ja Morant was among the players photographed boarding the Grizzlies’ plane on Wednesday as the entire roster will soon begin its quest to secure a playoff berth in the Western Conference. The team will enter the restart in eighth place and can clinch the eighth seed outright if they are at least four games ahead of the ninth-placed team.

The Grizzlies will be able to take part in their first team practice on Friday. Previously, players were allowed to train in small groups and were prohibited from taking part in 5-on-5 practices or drills. Teams will now begin a mini-camp ahead of the season restart on July 30.

The Grizzlies will return to action on July 31 vs. the Portland Trail Blazers.
