Florida suffered a disappointing road loss last Saturday to Texas A&M when the defense simply could not get a stop and the offense could not score enough, effectively ending the Gators’ College Football Playoff hopes. With the defeat now in the rearview mirror, it is time to take a look at next weekend’s matchup with the LSU Tigers.
The Tigers come into the game with a 1-2 record so far in this 10-game, coronavirus-altered 2020 schedule, having dropped its opener to the Mississippi State Bulldogs and losing last week in a shootout with the Missouri Tigers. Subsequently, LSU fell out of both major polls and will enter The Swamp unranked on Saturday.
Ninth-ranked UF is a 14-point favorite over LSU, according to BetMGM. The over/under is 70.5.
The game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and it will be televised on ESPN.
