Mohamed Sanu hires full-time coach to live with him for offseason work

Mohamed Sanu is taking an extra step in order to get better.

As the 2020 NFL season gets closer, one New England Patriots receiver is working extra hard to get ready.

According to a report from ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Mohamed Sanu has hired a full-time coach who will live with him during his offseason training.

Drew Lieberman is the coach and he has Rutgers connections. Sanu was a Scarlet Knight and Lieberman coached at Rutgers earlier in his career. With nine years of experience, he became familiar with big-time college football — but, he has since gone the route of private coaching.

As Reiss wrote, the wide receiver is hoping that all this training will create ‘a situation where his relentless offseason work produces tangible on-field results in 2020.’

Sanu came to New England at the trade deadline last season. He played in eight games and caught 26 passes for 207 yards. He’ll will be heavily relied upon as one of the only veterans on a wide receiver group that is undergoing a youth movement.
