Mock trade has Nets trading Ben Simmons and draft picks for Zach LaVine

In this mock trade proposed by James Piercey of the NBA Analysis Network, the Brooklyn Nets would be trading Ben Simmons for Zach LaVine.

The Brooklyn Nets have made most of their moves this offseason as they look to make their team as good as possible for the 2023-24 campaign. At this point, they have made some trades to get themselves some salary relief and have added a few free-agents to add a different dynamic to the team.

One of the areas that Brooklyn is trying to strengthen is its ability to score on a consistent basis. After ranking near the bottom of the league in offensive rating after the trade deadline, it looks like the Nets will need to be better on offense in some way if they want to be a force during the regular season so that they can make the playoffs and maybe win a series or two.
