Mo Bamba opens up on Nick Nurse, Joel Embiid, Sixers’ past failures

New Philadelphia 76ers big man Mo Bamba opens up on Nick Nurse, Joel Embiid, and gives his thoughts on the past failures for the Sixers.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — New Philadelphia 76ers big man Mo Bamba is looking to make an impact on a winning team in the City of Brotherly Love. After toiling for 4.5 seasons with the Orlando Magic and not being healthy with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bamba is ready for his next opportunity.

In 49 games in the 2022-23 season, Bamba averaged 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game. He blocks 1.3 shots per game for his career and he is expected to provide a great deal off the bench for this Sixers team. His only playoff experience was with the Lakers in 2023, but he has been a part of two Magic teams that made the playoffs: 2019 and 2020. He was unable to play in either postseason due to injury.

Bamba sat down with Sixers Wire at Colorado State University and he discussed coach Nick Nurse, Joel Embiid, the past playoff failures for the Sixers, and other topics.
