Although no fights are happening at the moment, the MMA world was still buzzing with news to discuss Saturday.
Most of it revolved around UFC 249, which is scheduled for May 9 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla., is to be headlined by Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje for the interim UFC lightweight title, with Henry Cejudo vs. Dominick Cruz for bantamweight gold set to co-headline.
That event will kick off an ambitious plan from the promotion involving a string of three fight cards in seven days.
Those were some of the main topics discussed in a live MMA Junkie Q&A with UFC reporter Laura Sanko and senior reporter Mike Bohn.
