MMA Junkie Q&A replay: Jon Anik on UFC 249, Adesanya-Woodley beef, EA UFC 4, more

Catch a replay of Wednesday’s live Q&A with MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn and UFC commentator Jon Anik.

Although no fights are happening at the moment, the MMA world was still buzzing with news to discuss Wednesday.

Most of it revolved around UFC 249, which is scheduled for May 9 at an unknown location and is to be headlined by Tony Ferguson vs. Justin Gaethje for the interim UFC lightweight title, with Henry Cejudo vs. Dominick Cruz for bantamweight gold set to co-headline.

As of now, the UFC plans to proceed with the event, but the coronavirus pandemic creates the looming possibility of a postponement, much like the original April 18 date.

It remains to be seen if UFC 249 comes to fruition. However, that potential event wasn’t the only newsworthy item to emerge in recent days.

All the UFC 249 talk didn’t completely overshadow Lyman Good being the first UFC fighter to publicly reveal a positive coronavirus test, the growing Israel Adesanya vs. Tyron Woodley beef and more.
