MJF mocks fans, media after winning AEW World Championship at Full Gear

“You morons bit on every single word I had to say these past couple of months, huh?”

Tony Khan and a number of AEW wrestlers from the Full Gear card spoke with the media after the event in Newark on Saturday night. MJF? Not so much.

Not that the new AEW World Champion, who hadn’t even showered yet after dethroning Jon Moxley in the night’s main event, didn’t drop in. He was actually the first person other than Khan to arrive at the podium. He just wasn’t there to answer any questions, but rather to ridicule anyone who thought he might have actually turned face during his ascent to the top of the company.

“Goddamn you people are f–king dumb, man, no offense,” MJF said. “You had sympathy for the Devil? What are you f–king stupid? You morons bit on every single word I had to say these past couple of months, huh? ‘I want to earn it.’ F–k that. I deserve it, because I’m the best wrestler in the f–king world.”

He didn’t stop there. Referring to the actions of William Regal, who turned on Moxley by slipping brass knux to MJF that helped him in the closing sequence of the match, MJF

“‘MJF, what’s going on with you and Regal? You know we’re all really interested. How’d that link-up start?’ You think I’m going to dell you dumb motherf–ers? … No if you want to know anything about the most important man in professional wrestling, you gotta tune in to the MJF show. That’s every Wednesday on TBS, and you damn well, that is now destination TV.”

You can watch his entire non-interview below thanks to Denise Salcedo.

The Regal situation will surely be of interest to not just Moxley but the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club, so some answers to that part of the puzzle might be forthcoming whether MJF likes it or not.

For everything else, his goodbye message was pretty clear: “Thank you, f–k you, bye.”
