Golf is the just the goofiest of games. I don’t know how else to explain it after what just happened during the second round of the U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Ma.
MJ Daffue hit his tee shot onto the deck of a hospitality area left of the 14th fairway. Instead of taking a drop and putting it on the grass he decided just to play it from the deck, which had a fence/wall in front of him and everything.
Seriously, this is what he did while leading the U.S. Open by two strokes. Check out this madness:

That’s just insane. And you know what? It actually turned out to be a decent shot that found the rough left of the green. He then hit a bad chip and settled for a bogey but that really didn’t have anything to do with his ridiculous shot from the stands.
