Missouri jumps two spots in US LBM Coaches Poll ahead of showdown with Auburn

Auburn football is set to meet its third-straight ranked opponent.

Auburn football is refreshed following its bye week and is ready to hop back into the heat of their SEC slate.

Next on the docket is a date with Missouri, who checks in at No. 16 in this week’s US LBM Coaches Poll after earning a 45-3 win over UMass on the road Saturday. The win allowed Missouri to jump two spots from their No. 18 position in week six’s poll.

Missouri has found a place in each poll this season, ranking as high as No. 8 after starting at No. 11. The Tigers will enter this Saturday’s game with Auburn at 5-1, with their lone loss coming from the hands of No. 14 Texas A&M. The Aggies stunned then-No. 8 Missouri on Oct. 5, 41-10, which sent the Tigers skyrocketing down the polls to No. 18 while boosting Texas A&M seven spots to No. 14.

Saturday’s game will mark the third-straight game that Auburn has faced a ranked opponent. Auburn lost a tough game to No. 17 Oklahoma on Sept. 28 and dropped its most recent contest to No. 4 Georgia on Oct. 5 in Athens, 31-13.
