The 76ERS -13.5 (-110) are 5-1 when Embiid and Timberwolves C Karl-Anthony Towns are both in the lineup and Embiid shuts Towns down. Towns averages only 18 points per game on 44.3% field-goal shooting (33.3% from 3) vs. Embiid.

If Embiid can make his return since being sidelined with a knee injury sustained in Philly’s March 12 win over the Washington Wizards, the Sixers should handle the T-Wolves with ease.

Furthermore, the situational trends favor the Sixers, who are 12-7 ATS with a plus-3.7-point ATS margin.

The T-Wolves are 9-14 ATS as road dogs and 1-5-1 ATS in the last seven games when playing on 0 days rest.

If Russell returns and Rubio misses this game for Minnesota, both teams are going to see an uptick in scoring.

The T-Wolves should start to play better offensively with the return of SG Malik Beasley—who’s having the best shooting season of his career—the steady improvement of No. 1 overall pick SF Anthony Edwards and Towns.

However, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, Minnesota is 1.6 points per 100 possessions more efficient on defense when Rubio is on the floor, while Russell is in the bottom 7-percentile in on-off defensive points per 100 possessions.
