The Minnesota Timberwolves (11-10) square off against the Golden State Warriors (13-8) Friday evening. Tip-off from the Chase Center is set for 10 p.m. ET. (ESPN) Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Timberwolves vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Minnesota won 3-0 last season

The Wolves won their third straight Wednesday with a 108-80 beheading of the LA Clippers Wednesday. F Julius Randle led the way with 20 points as he went 4-for-9 from 3-point land. The 3-game win streak came after a 4-game losing streak.

The Dubs ended a 5-game losing streak with a 99-93 victory over the Houston Rockets Thursday. F Jonathan Kuminga had a career-high 33 points with G Stephen Curry out. The Warriors were 4-point dogs in the affair. Kuminga has averaged 20.1 PPG over the last 4 games.

Timberwolves at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 109, Warriors 106

Moneyline

With Curry sitting out the front end of this back-to-back, I expect him to be in there Friday. Both of these teams are tied for 11th with  37.3% shooting from distance. The T-wolves have struggled to gel after the offseason trade of Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks for Randle.

They appear to have turned a corner. In their 3-game winning streak, G Anthony Edwards has scored 21, 8 and 16 on a combined 15-for-48 (31.2%). The T-wolves have won 4 straight against Golden State, and 3 of those were at Chase.

Instead of the -105 ML, take the ALTERNATE SPREAD TIMBERWOLVES -1.5 (+105), which is a much better payout for a minuscule 2-point win.

Against the spread

There’s no reason to place a bet here when we’re taking the value on the alternate spread. The players are also a little too inconsistent for me to make a prop suggestion.

PASS.

Over/Under

The Wolves have cashed 3 straight Unders and are 4-6 O/U in their last 10 games. The Warriors have cashed 4 straight Unders and are 2-8 O/U in their last 10 outings.

These teams have cashed 4 Unders in their last 6 meetings. Each side has also lost a bit of punch of offense.

I’ll take the UNDER 218.5 (-110).
