Bucks at Raptors: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 122, Raptors 113

Money line (ML)

The Raptors just split a two-game road set against the Indiana Pacers and are 2-2 in their last four games following a three-game winning streak. They continue to rely heavily on 3-point shooting and are just 17th in the NBA in effective field-goal shooting, 26th in rebounding and 19th in turnovers per game.

The Bucks (-275) would be the bet if it weren’t for the chalky money line price. The perennial Eastern Conference contenders are at full health and dropped the Atlanta Hawks 129-115 Sunday after losing back-to-back games against the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers. Milwaukee is first in effective field-goal percentage, 11th in turnover percentage and seventh in offensive rebounding percentage.

PASS on the obvious play and find a better value with the spread.

Against the spread (ATS)

The BUCKS -6.5 (-120) are the play on a line that started at 7.5 points Wednesday morning. They covered as 12-point favorites against the Hawks Sunday after a four-game ATS losing skid. Milwaukee covered in two of three games against Toronto last season.

The Raptors are a much better free-throw shooting team than the Bucks, but Milwaukee is much better disciplined with 18.6 personal fouls per game to 22.0 charged against Toronto on average.

The Bucks will be able to pull away late, especially if able to build a lead and force the Raps to start chucking threes early.

Over/Under (O/U)

Go with the OVER 227.5 (-110) with Bucks SF Giannis Antetokounmpo posing a bigger mismatch than usual if Siakam can’t go for Toronto. The Bucks’ decisive advantages in efficiency and on the offensive glass also pose further mismatches against the Raptors’ thin frontcourt.
