Hamlin, a 24-year-old Pitt alum, was selected in the sixth round of the 2021 draft. He had been the Bills’ starting safety through most of the season. Even before he was establishing his NFL career, Hamlin also wanted to do good things for others. So, he established The Chasing M’s Foundation Community Toy Drive as a GoFundMe in 2020, with an original fundraising goal of $2,500.
Since Hamlin’s injury, the toy drive has raised millions of dollars, thanks to fans and observers who just want Hamlin to know that he’s in their thoughts.
