We are just days away from the Super Bowl.
For those 30 teams not playing on Sunday evening, well, they are probably wondering what it would be like if they were there.
That goes for Vikings coach Mike Zimmer, who has it top of mind on a daily basis.
“Every day I think about it,” Zimmer said on KFAN via Vikings.com. “Every day you think about, ‘How can we get to that level?’ Every day it’s in our building, in our processes that we do. Every day we go out on the practice field. Like I said before, it’s extremely difficult.”
The Vikings were close to the Super Bowl back in 2017 when the fell to the eventual champions in the NFC Championship. Since then, though, the team has made the playoffs after making the change to Kirk Cousins at quarterback.
Next season will be a big one for the Vikings, who finished just 7-9 in 2020. A playoff appearance would certainly be a good start.
