The Tennessee Titans have some fast guys, but generally you don’t think of them as a team that is fast — and head coach Mike Vrabel is specifically looking to change that in 2023.
When asked about what he’d like to see from his team next season, Vrabel mentioned, physicality, fundamentals and technique, and playing faster.
But he really stressed the faster part.
“[I want the team to be] physical. I still think there is a degree of physicality that is required in this game at every level. Fundamentally sound, play with technique. But we have to get faster. We have to be a faster football team. Rarely are we the fastest team out there,” Vrabel said.
Vrabes wasn’t done there, though.
“You want the fastest roster that you can [have],” he added. “You want a fast everybody – you want your d-line to be able to run, you want your corners to be able to run, receivers. It’s a fast game, so that’s what you’re trying to do all the time – find as fast a players that can play football as possible.”
This is definitely an area the Titans should look to improve in all facets. The NFL is getting faster and faster, and those teams that don’t keep up will get left in the dust.
