Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady are former teammates and remain good friends, so neither of them ever passes up an opportunity to troll the other.
Tennessee and Tampa Bay held their first of two joint practices down in Florida on Wednesday, and after the session Brady fired first.
The future Hall of Famer noted that Vrabel is much more calm now than he was as a player and even referred to the Titans head coach as a “typical diva receiver” when he didn’t get the ball thrown his way when playing on offense.
Brady jokes that Mike Vrabel has mellowed as a coach, not as “chattery” as his playing days, complaining when he didn’t get passes like a “typical diva receiver.”

It didn’t take long for Vrabel to fire back.
The former NFL linebacker tweeted a photo of himself and Brady, along with Brady’s son, Jack, saying, “Jack Brady talking with his favorite former Patriot. Also pictured, Tom Brady.”

The last time the Titans met for joint practices with a Brady-led team was in 2019, when Tennessee and the New England Patriots held sessions together.
During the two-day event, Vrabel kicked off the trolling by yelling at the veteran quarterback for walking onto the practice field instead of running. Brady had his own fun the next day, awarding Vrabel with a trophy for beating his Patriots the season prior.
Tennessee and Tampa Bay will return to the practice field together on Thursday for the final day of joint practice before facing off on Saturday night in Preseason Week 2.
