Mike Scott has learned not to wear Redskins jersey to Eagles games

Philadelphia 76ers veteran Mike Scott says he has learned not to wear a Washington Redskins jersey.

Whether you’re an athlete or a fan in the city of Philadelphia, there is one rule: when you attend a Philadelphia Eagles game, do not sport the opposing team’s colors. Even if that opposing team is your favorite team.

Philadelphia 76ers veteran Mike Scott, who is a Washington Redskins fan, learned that the hard way when he attended an Eagles-Redskins matchup in Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season and it caused some issues. Scott even ended up getting into a brawl with a few rowdy Eagles fans.

It was a lesson that he will never forget as he hopped on rookie Matisse Thybulle’s Instagram Live on Friday night and when he was asked what he learned about Philadelphia, Scott immediately went back to that day.

Scott said:

The greatest lesson I learned: don’t wear a Redskins jersey to an Eagles tailgate! You can’t do it!

The Sixers forward has learned now though. As long as he does not repeat the same mistake again, all should be forgiven. [lawrence-related id=30354,30318,30310]
