The Philadelphia 76ers are a team that focuses on a lot of things other than just basketball. They focus on serious social issues and sometimes personal issues in each other’s lives as they become a closely-knit group.
Veteran Tobias Harris on Monday pleaded for Kentucky attorney general Daniel Cameron to make an arrest of the police officers who were involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor in Louisville for his only message to the media. On Thursday, Mike Scott stepped to his media availability and he also only had one message and that was a plea to Cameron to make an arrest.
“I just want to continue to reiterate: Daniel Cameron, we’re still waiting,” said Scott. “We don’t know what’s taking so long. We still want justice for Breonna Taylor’s murder. I just don’t know what’s taking so long. You’ve got these folks on Instagram at the beach living it up, like no. We still want justice for Breonna Taylor and that’s it.”

The Sixers will continue to prepare for their Friday scrimmage against the Memphis Grizzlies, but the focus should still be on getting justice for Taylor. That is on the mind of a lot of people as they work to fight against police brutality in America. [lawrence-related id=35278,35238,35229]
