When a fighter chooses a walkout song, he or she picks it for a reason. It’s the last thing they want to hear to mentally prepare themselves for combat. Some might say that’s vitally important before stepping inside a cage to get punched in the face.
Could you imagine what it could do to a fighter if a different song played by mistake?
That apparently happened Saturday night at UFC 255, where [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] walked out to … drum roll please … “Halo” by Beyonce. Perry looked to be surprised as hell, but he went with the flow and sang along for perhaps the funniest moment at a UFC event this year.
Check this out (via Twitter):
The wrong song was playing when Mike Perry walked out, but he still sang along 😂

We’re not sure what Perry’s song was supposed to be, and unfortunately for him, Beyonce’s beautiful voice didn’t help. Perry was busted up by Tim Means in their fight at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, losing a unanimous decision by scores of 30-27, 29-28 and 29-28.
If you feel like belting out “Halo,” have at it:
