49ers kicker Robbie Gould is perhaps the team’s most avid golfer. He’s participating in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe during his drama-free offseason, and right tackle Mike McGlinchey turned it into a team-building activity.
McGlinchey is tagging along with Gould as his caddy during the weekend-long pro-am tournament. The 12-year age gap between the two gives the pairing between the kicker and the offensive lineman an even more entertaining wrinkle. They’re also both natives of Pennsylvania.
Gould at press time was tied for 28th with seven points on the ACC’s scoring system. That tied him with Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, and Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth. Gould and Whitworth were in a group together along with former Bills defensive lineman Kyle Williams.
