On Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Minnesota Vikings would be releasing running back Dalvin Cook on Friday after months of rumors surrounding their split.

The Miami Dolphins have been one of the teams listed as a potential landing spot for the former Florida State back, as they already attempted to acquire him earlier in the offseason.

However, head coach Mike McDaniel was sure to give the media no hints during his pre-mandatory minicamp media availability.

McDaniel’s refusal to comment was in his classic fashion – which, obviously, included his humor. He joked that he’s too experienced to be got by a question like that now that he’s in Year 2 in Miami.

Cook would be an obvious upgrade for the Dolphins, who have six running backs currently on the roster, but it’s smart for McDaniel to stick to comments regarding the players on the roster, especially considering Cook isn’t expected to be cut until Friday.
