The Tennessee Titans lost Matt LaFleur last offseason when he accepted a head-coaching position with the Green Bay Packers.
His brother, Mike LaFleur, considered leaving his place as the San Francisco 49ers’ passing game coordinator to join him in Green Bay.
But that possibility is out of the picture now, as Matt LaFleur signed a contract extension in the postseason with San Francisco, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
So, needless to say, he won’t be going anywhere for now.

49ers’ passing game coordinator Mike LaFleur, who was working on an expiring contract and had been wanted in Green Bay to join his brother Matt, signed a contract extension this postseason with SF, per league source. Now LaFleur isn’t going anywhere; he’s remaining with 49ers.

The 49ers can keep him from making a lateral move as an assistant, although LaFleur can still interview with teams for head coaching jobs upon their request.
Of course, the possibility for those type of interviews will rise if the 49ers can get a win over the Chiefs on Sunday evening.
So it looks like if the LaFleur brothers are to reunite, it will be later on down the line.
The 49ers and Chiefs are set to face off in the big game at 5:30 p.m. CST on Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
