Last Tuesday, we found out that Mike Golic wouldn’t be on the new ESPN Radio schedule set to begin on Aug. 17. It will be the first time his voice won’t be heard on a show in over two decades.
On Monday, we found out his reported new job … and no, it’s not a Mike & Mike reunion show even if fans would love that.
In news broken by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter — pretty cool to have him be the one to deliver it, right? — the former Notre Dame star will be going back to being a college football analyst for the Worldwide Leader:
After leaving ESPN radio later this month, @espngolic will do work as a college football analyst for ESPN. He will now do what he did during his first 10 years at ESPN.

As Golic himself said last week in a tweet thanking everyone for the tributes, he wasn’t “riding off into the sunset yet.” So we’ll still get to see Golic on the network going forward.
Wow, I can’t thank you all enough for the kind words, I really do appreciate it…. it’s been a fun run, going to be very weird come August 1st, but I’m not riding off into the sunset yet, my wife doesn’t want me around that much yet…. thank you again for all your thoughts https://t.co/AnFvReOBgN
