The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the NFC South title wrapped up on Sunday. There was still drama in the final seconds of their game with the New Orleans Saints.
Elite wideout Mike Evans came in needing five catches and 84 yards to get to 1,000 for the 11th straight season. That milestone would tie the great Jerry Rice.
Would Baker Mayfield risk a pass in an eight-point game for his teammate? Of course he would.
Mayfield connected with Evans and the celebration was on after the nine-yard gain on the last play of the game. In addition to equaling Rice, the catch earned Evans a $3 million incentive. More remarkable when you realize he missed almost a quarter of rhe season due to injury. He ended up with 74 catches for 1,004 yards/
