Mike Evans shows off his first varsity catch on Instagram

Mike Evans may already be the greatest receiver in Bucs history, but years ago, he was just another guy trying to make it on varsity.

Mike Evans made history last season, becoming just the second wide receiver ever, after Hall of Famer Randy Moss, to begin his career with six-straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons.

At just 26, Evans is already the Buccaneers’ all-time leader in receptions (462), receiving yards (7,260) and touchdowns (48). Now that Tom Brady is his quarterback, the sky’s the limit for Evans, who is just entering his prime — a scary thought for the rest of the league.

While Evans has a bright future still ahead of him, the Pro Bowl receiver took to his Instagram story yesterday to post a video of his first-ever catch on the varsity team in high school, showing just how far he’s come.
