Second-year Buccaneers safety Mike Edwards will be part of a Tampa Bay defense looking to take another step forward in Year 2 under Todd Bowles.
The Bucs defense finished 15th overall last year, but their pass defense was 30th in the league. And when you play in a division with guys like Drew Brees and Matt Ryan, stopping the pass is essential. Fortunately, Edwards and the others seem up to the task, including rookie safety Antoine Winfield Jr.
And while Edwards and his teammates wait for the chance to hit the field and get back to the team facility, the former Kentucky star decided to do a little house cleaning, and may have realized he has one too many pairs of shoes.
Take a look at this screenshot from Edwards’ Instagram story.
At least a couple of pairs of Jordans there, too, I see.
