The Miami Dolphins are facing the prospect of one last home game in 2019 — and it appear as though all hands will be on deck for the occasion. All healthy hands, that is. No, Miami isn’t going to be getting Xavien Howard and Raekwon McMillan back to play the Bengals in Week 16, but if you’re on the Dolphins’ 53-man roster at this point in the season, odds are you’re going to be at Miami’s disposal to play the Bengals.
The Dolphins’ mid-week injury report was released yesterday and while the list of included names is pretty extensive, there seems to be no one in legitimate danger of missing Sunday’s contests. Only three players were not full participants at Thursday’s practice: K Jason Sanders (illness), DL Zach Sieler (ankle) and WR Allen Hurns (ankle/knee).
Each of the three were limited on Thursday but did indeed participate.

One would figure that the Dolphins are in good shape for a win this week — but last weekend against the New York Giants was a reminder that even this hard nosed Brian Flores team only has so much in the tank. We’re seeing now that the tank is creeping close to empty — the Dolphins have lost so much talent to injured reserve and even unsuccessful teams, in the right circumstances, can dictate play to these Dolphins.
There are better days ahead, when the starters of today serve as the backups of 2020. But there’s still two games to get through first — we’ll see if the Dolphins can snatch another win along the way.
