Michigan State hockey has officially ended a 15 year drought, securing their first Great Lakes Invitational championship since 2009 with a 3-1 victory over Western Michigan.
The Spartans won on the back of their backup goaltender Luca Di Pasquo, who had another outstanding outing on Monday. MSU got goal scoring from Tiernan Shoudy, Joey Larson and Isaac Howard.
Michigan State will have a quick turnaround now, when they face Wisconsin on Thursday to resume Big Ten play.
