Michigan State hockey completes sweep of Lake Superior State

MSU hockey completed a sweep over Lake Superior State on Saturday

Michigan State hockey has opened the 2024-25 season with a couple of wins, sweeping an in state opponent. Going on the road to the upper peninsula, MSU knocked off Lake Superior State in an overtime thriller on Friday night, 2-1, and the Spartans followed it up on Saturday.

On Saturday, the Spartans left no doubt in the result, dominating the Lakers, 5-1, completing the weekend sweep.

Isaac Howard notched two goals in the contest and was aided by Daniel Russell, Joey Larson and Nicklas Andrews, who all scored one in the game.

The Spartans will have a massive clash with Boston College inside of Munn Ice Arena next weekend.
