According to the USCHO rankings, Michigan State is the number one team in the college hockey nation.
In the latest rankings from USCHO, the Spartans leap frogged over Denver to take the number one spot for the first time since 2007.
The first series Michigan State will play as No. 1 team in the nation is at home this weekend, when the Spartans play host to Lindenwood inside of Munn Ice Arena.
