Michigan State football has extended an offer to an offensive lineman that has entered the transfer portal.
Western Carolina of the FCS’s Southern Conference offensive lineman Derek Simmons has received an offer from Michigan State. At 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, Simmons has experience playing at both the guard and tackle positions.
A native of Jacksonville, Florida, since entering the portal, Simmons has received a ton of power conference interest since entering the portal.
According to Pro Football Focus, Simmons was graded with a 78.8 overall blocking grade to go with a 74.4 run blocking grade and an 82.3 pass blocking grade, not allowing a sack this season.
